After leaving college in Swansea (H.N.D. Ceramics), Jennie Gilbert worked with a potter in the village of La Borne in France, where she learnt the basic's of reduction fired stoneware and production throwing.

On her return to England, Jennie found work with another potter where she stayed for three years improving her skills.

Jennie set up her own workshop at Pankhurst Farm in 1993 where she worked until September 2001. She has recently joined Project Workshops where she produces a wide range of tableware together with larger "one off" pieces.
