Kim gained her degree in Fine Arts at Chelsea School of Art. She then trained at the BBC in make-up and prosthetics; skills which took her around the world working in the film industry. Kim now divides her time between commissioned portraits of both people and animals, and still-life and landscapes. She also teaches, with particular emphasis on working with identified pupils of talent in the state sector. Now installed at Project Workshops, Kim hopes to be running a number of different classes for both beginners and intermediates throughout the year.
