Katy Rundle is a self taught textile artist. Her work comprises of fabric collage and embroidery using vibrant printed cottons. She is inspired by light, colour, and nature. Prior to becoming a full time artist, Katy worked as a specialist Palliative Care nurse and had a 30 year career in the NHS. Her first piece of textile art was created for a school fund raiser in 2016, after which multiple commissions were received.
Katy was selected to compete in Sky Arts ‘Landscape Artist of the Year 2018’.
She has exhibited at London art fairs and Windsor Contemporary Art Fair 2018.
Her work was featured, both on the cover and within, be Creative with workbox magazine September 2019.
Katy produces uplifting work inspired by her years in Kenya as well as her life in the UK. She has taken a wide variety of commissions, from Edinburgh Castle to a sea turtle.
